The city of Avondale Estates, through Sage PR, is working with Georgia Classic Theatre to produce free family-friendly performances for the public. The initiative is called Shakespeare at Sunset, and it is supported by Commissioner Ted Terry of Super District 6 of DeKalb County.

Allen O’Reilly will direct early-career performers, many who are recent graduates of Oglethorpe University’s theatre program. Bring a chair or blanket and watch some Shakespeare outdoors!

The performance is an abridged, family-friendly event that will last approximately an hour.
These events will be held outdoors in Avondale Estates at 6pm on the Town Greene.

PERFORMANCES:
October 10 – Taming of the Shrew – 6pm
November 14 – The Merchant of Venice – 6pm
December 5 – A Christmas Carol – 6pm
